DIET holds rally on World Population Day

DISTRICT INSTITUTE of Education and Training (DIET) organised rallies from five schools today to mark World Population Day on Tuesday.
The objective of the rally was to put forth the message that through effective control of population and balanced development, India will be able to move ahead in the world.
The rally was taken out simultaneously from five schools including – Government Boys HS School, Bairagarh, Government HS School, Nishatpura, Government HS School, Station area, Government HS School Kotra Sultanabad and Government HS School, Berasia. The rally from Bairagarh school was flagged off by District Collector S K Mishra.
People’s representatives, journalists, lawyers, doctors, medicos, other senior officials, teachers, prominent citizens and students from different schools participated in the rallies.
The rallies began from respective schools, went through the local area and then concluded at the school premises again in the form of a meeting, wherein school principal and DIET representatives spoke about population explosion and its negative impact. About 5,000 students from across district participated.
