Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh on Monday came out in support of revolting national hockey players, who are protesting against the non-payment of their dues.
"The demands of the players are fully justified and something should be done to improve the falling standards of Indian hockey," Singh told reporters.
He said that at a time when cricketers were paid crores of rupees, hockey players were given only a pittance.
The Congress General Secretary said the payment made to the hockey players should be increased and they should be provided with much better facilities.
"All disputes in Hockey India should come to an end," Singh said.
