After Munnabhai Chale Amerika was put off to the end of 2008, there has been a lot of speculations surrounding Rajkumar Hirani's next movie. More so after his project with Shah Rukh Khan fell through.

Currently the director of the much-loved Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai is scripting a movie set in an engineering institute.

He denies the buzz that it's based on Chetan Bhagat's Five Point Someone, based on three IIT students.. but he does concede that his script "starts off from the best-selling novel."

Campus tales
To be produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the film is tentatively titled Idiots.

On being asked the reason for the title, the director explains, "It's very relevant. The film revolves around a group of guys who are considered idiots on the campus. But they go on to achieve something big.. surprising everyone."

There has been considerable buzz about the cast for this film, but Hirani asserts that he will start thinking about actors only after the script and screenplay is complete. Idiots will feature five heroes and two heroines.

Interestingly, the design department of IIT, Guwahati, has designed special cycles for the main characters to use in the film.

The director, who's known to work on one movie at a time, will start Munnabhai Chale Amerika only after he's through with Idiots.
