A highly disfigured body of a youth was found in the bushes in the Surajkund area of Faridabad on Monday night.
Police believe that the unidentified body, covered in multiple injuries, may belong to a man in his early twenties. Police say that the perpetrators had thrown acid on the man's face to disfigure it.
The deceased was wearing blue jeans and a shirt. His body was shifted to Faridabad's BK Hospital.
The police found a railway ticket in his pocket, which said that the deceased had travelled from Ara in Bihar to Delhi on October 1, 2011.
"The identity of the body is being ascertained," said SHO Surajkund Rattandeep Bali.
"His face has been completely disfigured while the skin is burnt."
Police believe that the man had been killed somewhere else and his body was thrown in Surajkund, which of late has become a dumping ground for dead bodies by murderers.
