Disgruntled MLAs, who were not inducted into the Jagadish Shettar cabinet, have now come under the umbrella of mining baron G Karunakara Reddy, the brother of jailed Janardhana Reddy.

Karunakara Reddy is now taking the leadership of rebel MLAs, who identified with BS Yeddyurappa faction and succeeded in changing former CM DV Sadananda Gowda.

Karuanakara Reddy who has been conducting meetings with the MLAs will come to a conclusion on July 18.

Beluru Gopalakrishna, Suresh Gowda, MP Kumaraswamy and Lakshmana Savadi, CC Patil and others, who have actively supported Yeddyurappa in the recent past, have now joined hands with Reddy.

They are angry over Yeddyurappa, as he did not push their names into the Shettar cabinet and helped only few people like Shobha Karandlaje, BJ Puttaswamy, Basawaraj Bommai.

The MLAs say that they stood openly for BSY during crisis but now he has neglected them.

Karunakara Reddy, on Monday, met the MLAs at his residence and in a hotel. Beluru Gopalakrishna, MP Kumaraswamy and about other 10 MLAs of BSY faction met at the Reddy residence on Saturday as well.

Reddy's supporter MLAs including his brother Somashekhar Reddy and others of Bellary belt have started hunting unhappy MLAs and have decided to meet secretly.

Karunakara Reddy told the reporters that many MLAs don't want to come before media and thus have kept themselves out of the media glare.

Beluru Gopalakrishna said that a few backstabbers and persons who indulged in sex scams kept him out of new cabinet. (He indirectly mentioned about Haratalu Halappa, who was arrested on rape charges last year)

"Yeddyurappa had resigned from CM post as his name came in the Lokayukta report. Even now there are some ministers in the Shettar cabinet, who are facing corruption cases in Lokayukta court. If Yeddyurappa had resigned that time, why not these ministers," he asked.

Another MLA MP Kumaraswamy stated that he will get minister post when the tainted ministers go to jail.

The Reddy brothers had played a big role in the BJP government in the initial stages and helped the party to come to power for the first time in South India.

Later Janardhana Reddy tried to take control over the Yeddyurappa government through 'resort politics'.

Janardhan Reddy once assembled more than 50 MLAs and made them to stay away in Hyderabad to get Shobha Karandlaje (BSY's close aide) out of the cabinet and succeeded in it.

But, after Janardhana Reddy was arrested by CBI in the illegal mining case, his brothers kept quiet. Their friend Sriramulu started a regional party and tried to bring the BJP morale down.

Now, Karnunakara Reddy has taken to the front by grouping up disgruntled MLAs.
