THE DISTRICT-LEVEL Inter-University Cricket (Boys) Competition 2006-07 organised by the M B Khalsa College will be held on their grounds from Tuesday. The inaugural match will begin at 11.30 am.

Inter-dist TT meet from Oct 24

SNEHALATA SANGHI Memorial Inter-District Table Tennis Tournament organised by the Indore District Table Tennis Association will begin at Abhay Prashal on October 24.Matches will be played in the cadet, sub-junior, junior, men, women and veteran categories.

The Indore district team will be selected on the basis of performance for the 49th State-level Table Tennis Tournament to be held in Khandwa from October 4. Those interested can contact Association secretary Sanjay Mehta at Abhay Prashal on or before October 22.

Judo contest from tomorrow
INTER-COLLEGIATE JUDO Competition organised by the Swati Jain College will begin at DAVV Sports Complex, Khandwa Road, on October 18. Interested players may contact college sports officer Rajendra Singh Sidsodia at Bicholi Mardana on or before October 17.

SGSITS shuttlers win men’s title
THE SGSITS and S D Bansal Engineering College won men’s and women’s Inter-Collegiate Badminton titles respectively. In men’s final, hosts SGSITS beat Vaishnav Engineering College (3-1) while S D Bansal Engineering College beat SGSITS (2-1) in women’s category. In table tennis final, SVITS defeated SGSITS by a margin of 3-1while the eves of Swami Vivekananda College of Engineering beat SGSITS by 3-2 to take the title.

Sharma, Bise, Nathani win
VINOD SHARMA, Shailesh Bise and Shashank Nathani won chess titles in the seniors, juniors and mini juniors categories organised by Ajit Club and Resorts. In senior segment, Ajay Veerbani and Sanjay Kushwah stood second and third respectively while among juniors Rishikesh Kesharia and Palash Pande bagged the honours. In mini junior category, Rudraksh Agarwal and Devang came second and third respectively.
