DLF, Sahibabad marks Foundation Day

DLF Public School, Sahibabad celebrated its 16th Foundation Day in the memory of eminent educationist and visionary, Late Sh. Darbari Lal, the inspiration behind the School celebrating his 83rd birth anniversary.

The School Executive Director, Dr. Mrignaini paid homage to him. Principal, Seema Jerath paid tribute to the great soul whose vision is embodied in the school till today. It was celebrated collaboratively through DLFest-the Inter School 'Ish Stuti' - a Prayer Song Competition.

Teams competed and were appreciated and awarded individual prizes and certificates for the unique and special attributes for their performances. Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad organized the Annual Prize Giving Ceremony in order to recognize the talent and celebrate excellence.

Principal, Rita Kapur welcomed the Chief Guest, Narendra Kumar, Vice Chairman, GDA.

Students were felicitated for various domains of education ranging from academic, psycho motor to affective. Nearly 450 students were honoured under Scholastic and Co- Scholastic categories. Overall Sports Trophy as well as the Overall Championship Trophy was bagged by Jhelum House.

Students of K.R. Mangalam World School, Greater Kailash put up a class presentation on the theme of the Ramayana that depicted the duties of relationships, portraying ideal characters like the ideal servant, the ideal brother, the ideal wife and the ideal king.

Principal, Jyoti Gupta, along with the academic coordinators, Ranjana Patni, Chitra B, Suhani Daur and Renu Bhambri graced the occasion with their presence. The show was greatly appreciated from one and all.

Delhi Public School, Noida organized a Health Carnival where the health awareness was promoted through stalls offering free medical consultation by a panel of specialist doctors from prestigious hospitals on health issues.

Health related information was displayed prominently on display board and pamphlets outlining health care measures were distributed. A Cultural programme featuring street plays, dances and songs was presented by the students.

An on- the -spot art competition was conducted to promote the aesthetic expression of all in the theme of 'Health'. There were various food stalls and fun rides for students and parents. The occasion was graced by Chief Guest, Ashok Chandra, Chairman, DPSS and other eminent guests such as Dr. Usha Luthra, Member, DPSS and Principals of neighbouring schools.
