The 102nd birth anniversary of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK founder C N Annadurai was celebrated across the state on Wednesday.
Chief Minister and DMK supremo M Karunanidhi led the party workers in the celebrations when he paid floral tributes to a portrait of his mentor near the Anna statue in the city.
Karunanidhi's son and Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin and his cabinet colleagues also paid floral tributes.
The partymen celebrated their founder's birth anniversary by playing DMK songs and paying tributes to his portraits at different places in the city.
The MDMK, an offshoot of the DMK and floated by Vaiko, organised a conference at Kancheepuram, the birth town of Annadurai, to commemorate his birthday.
AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa in her message to partymen noted Annadurai dedicated his life for the development of Tamil language and its people.
