Delhi Metro on Thursday convened an emergency meeting of its Board of Directors to apprise them of the latest developments in the modern transport system, which witnessed three fatal mishaps in just 10 days.
The meeting was held at the Metro Bhawan here during which DMRC Managing Director E Sreedharan apprised the Board of Directors about the three mishaps which claimed seven lives.
Sreedharan is also understood to have discussed the report submitted by an expert B P Singh about the crane mishap on July 13 injuring six persons. The report has blamed Gammon India, which has the contract, for the mishap.
The Board of Directors are also understood to have discussed the report of Comptroller and Auditor General of India which has rapped the DMRC on many fronts.
Sreedharan is also believed to have listed the steps taken by the DMRC with regard to mishaps at work sites.
