Doing up windows in a smart way can really add oodles of attitude to a room and also fetch countless compliments. So here are a few tips on how to make get the best view of that otherwise ‘a little boring’ window:
Use out-of-the-ordinary curtain hardware with decorative styles, which could be sculptures with function. It will add to the statement of style in the interiors. Use matching curtain tiebacks to add to the sculptural show in your surroundings.
You can team hand drawn blinds made of bamboo or wood with brass curtain rods and stylish finials. This will make you eco-friendly and fashionable in one go.
In case you are using fabric blinds, hand paint interesting figures, forms or landscape on them. It will give them an effect of art pieces with a difference. This will enliven the space.
Put flower pots or creepers on the ledge outside the window. They will not only shield you from prying eyes but will do wonders to the view from the window.
Use half curtains of interesting sheer fabrics on large windows. These allow light to come in from the top and also offer privacy for those moments when you want solitude.
If your room window does not have a good view, you can block it using your
decorative curtain hardware to hang your precious kelims, dhurries etc.
Stained glass panel in a very modern format works as a decorative part with certain amount of light on it. It becomes a graceful part of the room.
