Don't dream of UPA govt's fall: Beni Prasad Verma tells BJP

india Updated: Oct 12, 2012 22:30 IST

Union minister Beni Prasad Verma on Friday said BJP leader Sushma Swaraj should stop dreaming about the fall of Congress-led government at the Centre and asserted that the UPA enjoyed support of 305 members in the Lok Sabha.

Talking to reporters in Barabanki, he claimed that NDA did not have the backing of even 105 members.

"UPA government will complete its five-year term as it has the support of 305 MPs, whereas NDA does not even reach the number of 105 MPs," he said.

Verma's comment came against the backdrop of senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj saying that UPA government will not last beyond the winter session of Parliament.
