MAHARASHTRA ON Saturday won the double crown in the 28th Nirbhay Singh Patel memorial junior national kho-kho championship organised by the Madhya Bharat Kho Kho Association at Chiman Bagh.
In the boys and girls’ finals, Maharashtra beat Andhra Pradesh to win the double crown. Telangana beat Sholapur to bag the third position. District Collector Vivek Aggarwal was the chief guest while Indore SP Anshuman Yadav presided over the function and distributed the prizes to the winners

VIJAY CLUB defeated Indore Colts by 70 runs in the Satish Malhotra Trophy ‘A’ grade cricket tournament organised by the MYCC.
Lucky Sports scored 227 runs. Jitendra Likhar scored 42 runs with five boundaries and two sixes. Sandeep Dhaigude scored 40 with five boundaries and Gaurav Kshirsagar scored an unbeaten 30. Ravi Tomar took four wickets. Kapil Yadav claimed three wickets and Rajesh Kanojiya took two wickets.
In reply, Indore Colts were all out for 157. Ankit scored 43 runs with six boundaries, while Rajesh Kanojiya made 38 with five boundaries. Siddhesh Titotkar took four wickets while Gaurav Kshirsagar and Mayank Jain took two wickets each.
Indore district in final
INDORE ON Sunday entered the finals of the U-15 inter-district cricket tournament organised by the IDCA under the aegis of MPCA at Sendhwa. In the semifinal, Indore beat Burhanpur by nine wickets.
Batting first, Burhanpur scored 60 runs. Varun Shrivatsav and Saransh Jain bowled well to capture three wickets each. In reply, Indore surpassed the low target losing just one wicket. Gaurav Pable batted brilliantly to score an unbeaten 51 to help his team to sail into the final. Indore will clash against Khandwa for the title in the final.
KHANUJA Cricket Club advanced to the second round of the Padamshashi Trophy U-17 cricket tournament organised by the IDCA
at Emerald Heights International grounds on Sunday.
Khanuja won the match against K P Academy on the basis of first innings lead of 139 to advance to the second round.
Batting first, KP Academy scored 229 in 76.5 overs. Ishan Pal scored 100 runs with 17 boundaries. Varun Shrivatsav took four wickets. In reply, Khanuja Cricket Club declared at 368/8.
A Ansari scored a classic 124 with 12 boundaries. Ankit Dane scored 82 with 12 boundaries. Vikas Patidar took four wickets for 129 runs. In the second innings, K P Academy scored 126/7.
