Bollywood actor-turned politician Hema Malini on Thursday alleged that successive governments in Jammu and Kashmir did nothing for the welfare of the people.

"There is already Modi wave in the country. Now in order to get better road connectivity, electricity and good education for the youth in the region, you should vote for BJP," said Hema, who is the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Mathura, while campaigning for her party in Jammu.

However, the BJP leader cut short her speech at Jammu West constituency and it lasted only four minutes. The 'Dream Girl' of Hindi cinema used her Sholay dialogue to wrap up saying "Kyunki Mujhe Zayada Baat Karne Ki Aadat Nahi (because I don't talk a lot)" and impressed upon the people to vote for BJP candidate Sat Pal Sharma.

Many believe Hema's rallies in Jammu were ill-managed due to lack of coordination among the BJP workers. People, including BJP members, believe the choice of venues was pathetic as it led to total chaos and mismanagement.

"Having taken first look of the venue, which was on a cemented roof covering a nullah, the MP (Hema Malini) had expressed her dissent and had desired to cut down her address," said one of the BJP managers of the show. People, who had gathered to have a glimpse of the Bollywood star, were left disappointed.

Later, Hema Malini left to campaign for BJP candidate Rajesh Gupta from Jammu East constituency.
