Anti-Narcotics Cell has arrested two persons following alleged seizure of charas and ganja weighing 47 kg from their possession here, police said on Tuesday.
The drugs, recovered from South-Central Mumbai in separate incidents, are worth Rs 1.73 crore in the international market and Rs 16.8 lakh in Indian market, they said.
The duo have been identified as Hayadwari alias Babu Raja Ansari 37 and Krishnalal alias Vidyadhar Mishra 34.
According to ANC, Ansari was in possession of 21 kg charas when he was caught last night on P B Marg near Elphinstone railway station.
Mishra was held on Sunday evening after 26 kg ganja was seized from him when he arrived in Sion to deliver the consignment to his customer, police alleged.
The two were involved in narcotics trade and were in the city to sell the contraband to drug peddlers, police said.
