Delhi University is evolving a special format for making admissions to various colleges in the North and South campus more student friendly. Besides renaming ICR form as the ‘Pre Admission form,’ officials are also contemplating on changing the format of this form.

Dean Students Welfare SK Vij, who is at the helm of affairs said, “We will be introducing OMR technology wherein students will only have to make dark circles wherever necessary.

This will help in faster processing of information on computers and will save time for officials as well as DU aspirants.” DU is also emphatic on not grating a re-admission to SC/ST and reserved category students who may have left the university mid session or may not have joined last year despite taking admission.
“We are also introducing a new option whereby the students get an immediate acknowledgement of receipt of their form the moment they turn it in.

This is also a departure from the past practice where students were issued ‘acknowledgement slips’ and they had to make an extra trip.

This will definitely save them time,” he said. Information on varied eligibility criteria for DU colleges will also be provided.
