A group of foreign students reportedly barged into the Delhi University vice-chancellor's office and misbehaved with him.
The security personnel on duty had to be summoned to contain the situation. The student in question was apparently aggrieved over being asked to vacate her hostel room at International Students' Hostel for Women.
"She had overstayed at the hostel for two months and had discipline issues because of which she was served several notices. Although indiscipline is not tolerated, she has been offered alternative accommodation at another hostel in the university campus," said Shireen Rathore, DU dean of colleges.
Rathore added that the students had "tried to force their way into her office, too, but were prevented by her staff". She said the student has been offered accommodation at Meghdoot hostel, another such facility for women students.
