Dy librarian of IMS attacked

IN A sensational incident, some unidentified miscreants attacked deputy librarian of the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS-BHU), Sanjeev Saraf, and left him seriously injured, near the railway reservation counter of BHU under Lanka police station on Saturday evening. 

Saraf was admitted to Sir Sunderlal Hospital of BHU. Doctors said his condition was still serious and he was not in a position to give any statement. However, no FIR was lodged till the filing of this report. Police said the attack was probably a fall out of some internal dispute.

Reports said Sanjeev Saraf was returning home on Saturday evening when some unidentified miscreants attacked him near the railway reservation counter.

Later, he was rushed to SS Hospital. Medical Officer of SS Hospital, Dr Sunit Shukla, described his condition as serious. Despite repeated attempts, chief proctor of BHU, Prof SK Singh, could not be reached for his comments. Station officer of Lanka police station, Manoj Pant, said that the attack was a fall out of some departmental dispute.
