Easy victory for Advance Academy, Gujarati School

ADVANCE ACADEMY and AMB Gujarati School won their respective matches on Saturday to advance to the second round in the interschool U-19 cricket tournament organised by Christian Eminent Higher Secondary School at Tulsinagar grounds.

ADVANCE ACADEMY and AMB Gujarati School won their respective matches on Saturday to advance to the second round in the interschool U-19 cricket tournament organised by Christian Eminent Higher Secondary School at Tulsinagar grounds.

The first match was played between New Golden School and Advance Academy. Batting first, Advance Academy scored 171/6. Sidharth Rai top scored with 36 runs. Abhishek Rai made 26 runs and Mohnish Rai Pradhan scored 24. Airen Yadav took two wickets.

In reply, New Golden School managed just 65 runs and lost the match by 108 runs. Chobe bowled brilliantly to capture four wickets for just eight runs.

The second match was played between Gujarati School and IPS Academy. Batting first, Gujarati School scored 151 runs. Adhiraj Dave batted well to score 73. Ronak took two wickets.

Chasing the target of 152,   IPS Academy failed to   reach the required runs and was all out for 126 losing the match by 26 runs.

Rohit Chhabara scored 45 in 26 balls while Ronak scored 31 in 25 balls. Prateek and Ratik took three wickets each to help their team to advance to the second round
