Actor Eesha Koppikhar (far right), who was last seen in the 2010 release Shabri, is now channelling her energy towards a new professional venture. The 35-year-old actor will soon launch a chain of health food restaurants called Soul Konnect Hospitality that will promote healthy eating habits.
Koppikhar, who will be in the US for two months, will make the best use of her sabbatical and will take up a hospitality course there. Giving insight into her abroad sojourn, Eesha says, "It’s true that I’ll be away for about two months or so. I’ve been planning to learn finer nuances of the hospitality business since a long time and now, since I have a couple of months before I start my film assignments, this seems to be the right time for it."
The project will be an all-India venture and Eesha is expected to make an announcement mid-year. Eesha was mulling over the idea of joining hospitality business for long as husband Timmy’s family too owns a chain of restaurants. But knowing just the basics did not seem enough to her, so she opted for this crash course. Apart from this, she also plans to club her stay with doing some stage shows abroad. "Isha has committed to a few shows oversees and plans to wrap them up during this visit itself," her spokesperson said.
Taking a new direction...
Twinkle Khanna left the film industry after marrying actor Akshay Kumar in 2001 and since then, the 37-year-old has made a name for herself in interior designing and candle making. Now, she co-owns a lifestyle store called The White Window.
Shetty’s last release was Desire in 2010. Acting took a backseat for the 36-year-old after she married entrepreneur Raj Kundra in 2009. Since then, she took up film production, launched a spa chain and co-owns the IPL team, Rajasthan Royals.
Chawla, 44, has not completely given up acting and has a couple of films in her kitty. But primarily, she is busy with being a film producer and also actively participates as the co-owner of IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders.
