Eid arrangements reviewed by Mayor

DISTRICT COLLECTOR S K Mishra and Mayor Sunil Sood on Saturday reviewed arrangements at the Idgah and the Tajul Masajid ahead of Eid-uz-Zuha falling on Monday and directed proper cleanliness, water and lighting arrangements during the Eid prayers.

DISTRICT COLLECTOR S K Mishra and Mayor Sunil Sood on Saturday reviewed arrangements at the Idgah and the Tajul Masajid ahead of Eid-uz-Zuha falling on Monday and directed proper cleanliness, water and lighting arrangements during the Eid prayers.

The Mayor also directed proper cleanliness at the temporary slaughterhouses and also proper water and lighting arrangements along with services of veterinarians. SP Anant Kumar Singh, Municipal Commissioner Manish Singh, ADM M B Ojha and other officials of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation and district administration were present.

The Mayor said that the Idgah premises and the approach roads should be cleaned properly and drinking water arrangements should be perfect. He said that similar arrangements should be made at Tajul Masajid and the temporary slaughterhouses. He emphasised that the arrangements should be better compared to thelast year and tankers should be used to provide additional drinking water.

The district Collector reviewed the preparations to be made by district administration. Apart from the regular water supply, the BMC would be arranging for additional water supply from the other water supply sources.

Responsible officers have been posted at the Kamla Park, Govindpura and Assembly Hall water supply control rooms. The temporary slaughterhouses would work from January 1 till 3.
