Eight killed in two seperate accidents in Nashik

Eight youths were killed on the spot in two seperate road accidents, occured in city's Panchavati and Vilholi localities early on Thursday, the police said.

Six persons were killed on the spot when the Indica car they were travelling in collided with a truck at Vijay Nagar in Panchavati locality on Mumbai-Agra national highway, they said.

The deceased have been identified as Bhooshan Karpe (23), Ganesh Thorat (27), Santosh Baburao More (25), Santosh Jadhav (22), Vishal Bendre (24) and Ashfaq Hussain Shaikh (25), all hailing from Ojhar, added the police.

In another accident, two youths riding on their motorcycle were killed on the spot after a truck dashed against their bike at Vilholi village, about 10 kms from here, they said.

They have been identified as Digambar Shantaram Pawar (26) and Ashwin Ahire (25), resident of Vilholi, police added.
