Eight killed, six injured in separate road accident

At least eight people were killed and six others injured in two separate road accidents in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, official sources said in Dehradun.

At least eight people were killed and six others injured in two separate road accidents in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, official sources said in Dehradun.

Five people were killed and four others injured when a jeep in which they were travelling fell into a gorge at Narayanbagad area last evening, they said.

The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital where their condition is stated to be stable, they added.

In another incident, a Border Road Organisation truck fell into a gorge on Joshimath-Malari road killing three persons on the spot, they said, adding two others, who were injured in the incident have been admitted to a hospital.
