Engineer jumps to death in Noida

A 26-year-old engineer allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of VSNL Apartment in Sector 62 on Sunday.

According to the police, Ship Rat an Yadav was found lying in a pool of blood by a security guard of the building on Sunday morning. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Yadav, who hailed from Sahara in Utter Parades, was working with Max Mobile as an engineer. On Saturday night, Yadav came to meet his friend Ashish, who is staying at VSNL Apartment with his brother and sister-in-law.

Police said that Yadav was not happy with his professional life and wanted to shift to the IT sector. “As per our initial investigation, Yadav visited his college friend Ashish, whose brother and sister-in-law were out of city. He came to discuss his professional problem with his friend as he wanted to shift to the IT sector. They supposedly discussed the matter till 1.30am. After that they went to sleep. Ashish asked him to sleep in the bedroom but Yadav insisted to sleep in the drawing room,” said a senior police officer, who is investigating the case.

The police have not found any suicide note from the spot. They have also seized his mobile phone, wallet and laptop, which have been sent for a forensic test. The police said they were investigating the case from all angles.

A case has been registered at Sector 58 police station.
