Enhance the power of love in your life and in your room with décor that not only lends a dash of glamour to it, but also matches up to your passion.
"Black and gold as the colour scheme looks apt to create a romantic feel. A sensual look depicts love and romance, and colours like: aubergine and plum reverberate with passion," says Anjali Goel of La Sorogeeka.
“Closer to red are plum and maroon. Beige can also be spread all over the place to enhance the power of love in the newly-wed couple’s bedroom. These are considered to be youthful colours, which add liveliness to the room and gel very well with the age group — bringing a feeling of togetherness, love and care between the couple,” says interior designer Monica Kamal.
Linen that accentuates the feeling of warmth in a room includes false leather, chenyl, velvet and furs. Satin and sandwich silk for drapes and smooth satin linen complete the romantic mood. “The décor that we call romantic speaks volumes on love. Off-white lacquered mirror, spangled rugs and red lacquer (coloured varnish), decor pieces with murano crystal create a sensual setup,” adds Goel.
“The fast and the most economical way to add romance in the room is by adding fresh flowers, aroma candles, and soft lighting,” suggests Kamal.
Let love bloom
Deck the room with red roses, red cushions, a rug with a rose motif, or even a simple red soft throw.
Shades like silver, grey, white and metallic should be used.
Light fabrics can also be a good deal as they create soft and gentle atmosphere to the room, making the couple feel more cheerful and lively.
Accessories should be more of silver hues. Apart from this, place metallic picture frames and lamp shades as they work wonders to define mood of the room.
