State irrigation and public health minister Vidya Stokes has intensified campaigning in support of Congress nominee Pratibha Singh.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, she thanked the people for extending vote and support to state chief minister Virbhadra Singh and Pratibha Singh in the past when they entered the fray in the past as Congress candidates from Mandi constituency.
The minister expressed hope that the voters would continue to shower their support in the present Mandi byelection and ensure the victory of the Congress.
Stokes said after emerging victorious, Pratibha Singh would leave no stone unturned to accelerate the pace of development.
She added that the state government had been working in agriculture, industrial and tourism sectors on different schemes in the state, which would benefit the general masses in future in the state.
She assured that the Centre would announce a financial package for Himachal Pradesh soon.
She said after the announcement of financial package, thousands of crores would be invested in the state that would certainly benefit the unemployed youth in the state.
She further said 80% subsidy was being given by the Centre on laying of nets in orchards in the state.
