STUDENTS CREATED ruckus at CMP Degree College following an incident of eve-teasing and harassment of a BA-II female student by her classmate on Friday.

Taking a strong cognisance of the incident and acting on a formal complaint lodged by the victim, the college administration immediately suspended the accused.

Sources said that a BA-II student of the college, Amit Kesarwani, had been harassing a female classmate for the past many months. This afternoon he once again eve-teased and misbehaved with the girl that led to her finally lodging a complaint against him with the college officials.

On being contacted, CMP Degree College proctor Dr Shashank Dwivedi said that acting on the complaint filed by the female student, the college administration has immediately suspended Amit Kesarwani. He said that the victim was being harassed by her male classmate for the past three months and the college administration immediately took action once the harassment was brought to its notice.
