PCC spokesperson and general secretary MLC Ravinder Sharma has sought expeditious implementation of various decisions taken in the district development board for Sunderbani and Nowshera in Rajouri district.
Addressing meetings at Nowshera and Sunderbani during his two days tour of the area, Sharma expressed concern over the delay in the execution of several development works.
He regretted that more than four years had lapsed in the shifting of the veterinary hospital and poultry farm adjoining the sub-district hospital at Sunderbani, which has resulted in delay in the expansion of the hospital.
Similarly, the expansion of Dak Banglow at Sunderbani, setting up of sports stadium, identification of college land at sunderbani and setting up of fruit/vegetable Markets at Nowshera and Sunderbani are some of the issues which have been in the pipeline for a long time.
He said proposed mini industrial estates at Thandapani and Lamberi are required to be set up at the earliest as the unemployed youth of the area have no job opportunities in private sector.
Sharma also reminded the government about the genuine demandof border migrants of Nowshera, who were not provided the relief on par with other such category of persons in Jammu. He said the matter had been taken up time and again with the state government.
