Agencies investigating the current fixing scandal are making a list of cricketers, cricketers’ wives, kin, friends, owners and film personalities, who are under cloud in the scandal.
Investigators, police sources said, have also called for the entire footage of all the T20 league matches played this year, and are analysing every bit of footage available. But, the agencies are treading cautiously, and are focused on collecting ample evidence to nail those associated, said police sources.
“One of the prime reasons that the agencies are going slow on the arrest of known cricketers is because the investigators want to be absolutely sure that they leave no loop holes in their investigation,” said a senior police officer. “We want to figure out who they had approached or interacted with including the owners, cricketers or their family and friends is under scanner.”
The case has been strengthened with the arrest of Vindoo Dara Singh, who police said had been spotted with cricketers and with their wives.
