England football captain David Beckham's stress busting mantra is learnt to be the four letter word -- f***!
“We're gonna f****** beat Portugal and win the f****** World Cup. At least we f****** will if skipper David Beckham has anything to do with it,” The Sun quoting him as saying ahead of the Saturday's all important quarter-final against Portugal.
Revealing his dressing room lifestyle, Beckham reportedly said: “I do shout and swear…….it's a very passionate changing room we've got and sometimes it takes that to get other players and yourself lifted.”
“You have a think the night before a game about what you want to say, but it's an off-the-cuff thing as well. You go into the dressing room and say what's on your mind. There are a number of players who come out and talk in the changing room before the game. I'm one of those and there are a couple of others, but it's up to whichever player feels like saying something on the day of the game. We were psyched up before we beat Ecuador. In the tunnel I could see the players were ready for it. That's what we've got to get in our minds now because Portugal is a huge game for everyone. We have to be ready mentally and physically,” the paper quoted him as saying further.
According to the paper, England fans' ambassador “Sexy Beast” actor Ray Winstone has recorded a special message, quoting Churchill and Henry V, to rouse the troops before England's clash with Portugal on Saturday.
But, added the report, Becksy Beast Beckham will be drawing on some good old-fashioned Anglo-Saxon phrases before leading his men into battle.
