THE TWO-WEEK faculty development programme in entrepreneurship concluded at the Sagar Institute of Research and Technology (SIRT) on Friday. Barkatullah University vice-chancellor Prof R S Sirohi was the chief guest on the occasion. The programme was organised in association with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India.
Addressing the gathering, Sirohi said that a person can become a good entrepreneur only if he has a strong urge for it and added that entrepreneurship is not an inborn quality but could be developed through well-directed activities.
Former principal of the Government Sarojini Naidu Girls’ College Dr Shashi Rai said that entrepreneur development programme (EDP) is an important exercise designed to train and develop professionals in entrepreneurship development so that they could act as resource persons in guiding and motivating young students.
SIRT Group chairman Sanjeev Agrawal welcomed the guests and said that to be a good entrepreneur, one much constantly work towards the goal and learn to control emotions. Kumar Industries CEO K M Kumar and EDI (Lucknow) regional coordinator Raman Gujral also spoke on the occasion.
SIRT director R K Mani proposed the vote of thanks. Principal Srihari Agrawal, faculty members, staff and students were present at the programme.
