Chairman of the Hamirpur Mandi Samiti Prem Kaushal on Saturday said better facilities would be provided to the farmers of the district to sell their produce in various markets of the district.
Kaushal said this while addressing a gathering at Bhoranj. Earlier, he was congratulated by locals and the Congress activists for his election as chairman of the district mandi samiti.
He said the main aim of the Congress-led state government was to help the farmers to get more facilities for producing more crops and to sell them on reasonable prices in the mandis located in the state.
Kaushal said flying squads would be set up to nab those who were doing illegal business of agricultural produce in the district. He advised farmers to take proper receipt from wholesalers while selling their items in various mandis of the district.
