Female magistrate files dowry case against her own husband

The complaint was filed by judge Sarita Jataria against her husband Vikas Arya for dowry harassment and domestic violence for quite sometime on the issue.

Friday morning Vikas allegedly thrashed his wife, after which she suffered lots of injuries.

He also damaged her car and other items in the house and later escaped from the spot, the police said.

Vikas is posted in the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) office at Joura.

After conducting a medical examination of the female judge, a case was registered against her husband on charges of dowry harassment and physical abuse.

Vikas is absconding and the hunt is on to nab him, the police added.
