Noted film-maker Prakash Jha on Tuesday said that he would contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections from Bihar.
Addressing a press conference here, Jha said, he would in all probability contest the elections from Bettiah constituency in western Champaran district of Bihar.
I contested the previous Lok Sabha elections as an independent candidate but now I will be in fray as a nominee of some political party, he said.
Without naming the political party that he would represent in the polls, Jha said he enjoyed good relations with many Bihar leaders including RJD chief Laloo Prasad Yadav, LJP supremo Ram Vilas Paswan and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Jha, who is here for shooting of his film 'Rajneeti', was flanked by actors Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai, Katrina Kaif and Gulshan Grover amongst others.
On a query about the role being played by Katrina Kaif in the film, Jha said it had nothing to do with either the life or political career of Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
“The only similarity between Sonia and Katrina is both of them are women who look beautiful in a saree,” he said.
