While there are several groups in the city that showcase their love for arts and books, this group is love-struck by food! And, interestingly this love has taken Eatlo far. While their Facebook page is abuzz with their recent food expeditions or ‘raids’ as they call them, we came across some Bollywood and Hollywood presence too!
Many of the foodies in the group have morphed popular posters of films and given them a ‘foodish’ avatar. Sample this: star-studded film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham is now vegetable-rich ‘Kabhi Gobhi Kabhi Shalgam’. “This is actually the concept of Mohaneesh Thapar from Mumbai. It’s all by and for the food lovers,” says Shashank Aggarwal, founder of the page. So, who features in these posters? “The faces that one sees are those of old-timers and regulars at our page. These people don’t mind such stuff and are open to humour,” he says. The Facebook page of the group, that is spread across Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, has over 12,000 likes so far.
And, while there are several Bollywood posters on the page, there’s a dash of Hollywood too. The Lord of The Rings has been conveniently changed to ‘Lord of the Wings’. “It’s all for pure fun. We have no intentions to hurt anyone,” adds Aggarwal. While veggies and wings have been taken care of, there’s something for the aloo-puri lovers too. One poster on the page reads ‘Jab Humne Bana Di Aloo Puri’. Any guesses?
