Fire breaks out in hotel hosting YPD 2 crew in UK

india Updated: Nov 14, 2012 12:22 IST

The shooting of Sangeeth Sivan's Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 (YPD 2) has been going on in full swing in U.K. since a couple of months. The film's cast and crew however got the shock of their lives when the hotel in which they were put up in Leicester caught fire on Wednesday night.

Even though all the cast and crew were immediately evacuated from the hotel, it was quite a traumatic experience for them. They had to wait on the streets for almost a couple of hours late at night braving the cold till the fire fighting team managed to douse the fire. Nevertheless the team still managed to resume shooting the very next day afternoon barely having slept a wink.

Confirming the same, Sangeeth Sivan tweeted, "day 53- trial by fire- major fire broke out at d hotel housing our crew at 1am -no 1 was hurt & evn tho many had no sleep, still wrkd frm noon . a big ty to d unit .. so v hv nw overcome cold, fog, & fire."

YPD 2 slated to release next year re-unites the 3 Deols (Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby) once again after their smash hit YPD.
