The first ever international flight from the city airport will carry 200 Haj pilgrims to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, officials said today.

The Air India flight will take off around 0600 hours from the Devi Ahiliyabai Airport tomorrow and reach its destination at around 1130 hours, Air India Airport Manager D V Gadgil told PTI today.

Airport Director Vivek Upadhaya said this would be the first time that a direct international flight was being operated from the airport.

Fifteen groups of 200 Haj pilgrims each will leave for Jeddah from the airport in the next few days, he said.
