Fitness camp for cricket players

FITNESS CAMP will be held for under-19 and under-17 cricket players organised by Indore Divisional Cricket Association from September 2 at Khalsa cricket grounds.

IDCA secretary Kanwaljeet Khanuja said that the fitness camp would be held for the forthcoming inter-divisional cricket tournament organised by Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association. Former Ranji player Manish Majithia will be incharge of under-19 players while Santhosh Nair will be incharge of under-17 players. Khanuja further said that five to six IDCA registered players may also joint the fitness camp.

Manohar wins Open Rummy
MANOHAR HEMNANI won the YC Open Rummy tournament organised by Yeshwant Club at its premises. Keerti Jhanjaria had to be satisfied with second position. Secretary of the club Praveen Kasliwal said that about 80 players from various clubs took part in the tournament. Club chairman Dr Hemant Doshi was the chief guest and distributed the prizes to winners.

Club joint secretary Kulvinder Singh Gill conducted the programme while club secretary Praveen Kasliwal proposed vote of thanks.

Bhavan’s Prominent students excel
BHAVAN’S PROMINENT Yoga players excelled in the national yoga competition organised by Indian Yoga Federation. In the U-10 category, Saurav Poddar won the second position while in the under-15 category Gaurav Poddar won the third position.

Ajay, Vishal elected
AJAY SINGH Rathore and Vishal Sonane were elected  president and secretary of Indore District Wushu Association in the recently concluded annual general body meeting. Manish Arya and Prof H K Jain are vice presidents while Hemant Nigm has been elected as treasurer. Ovesh Hyder, S Ektare and Kusm Tandan are joint secretaries.

Chess competition
MP STATE MINI junior and women’s chess competition organised by MP State Chess Association will begin on September 15 at Ranital stadium Jabalpur. Boys and girls in the age group of 7, 9, 11 and 13 will take part in the tournament.
