Five children, four of whom were juvenile, fled from the high-security observation home in New Industrial Township area in the wee hours of Thursday.
However, the police later found two of them from Badarpur area and arrested a warden and a major inmate. A case of negligence has been registered against the superintendent of the observation home.
The incident occurred at 3am on Thursday when five children broke open the grille, scaled the wall of the home and fled, the police said. There were total 18 children in the observation home. All the five children are accused in either rape or theft cases.
