Ayub has 29 cases of murder, robbery and dacoity registered against him in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
Ayub, one of the most wanted criminals of Uttar Pradesh, and four of his accomplices were killed by the Delhi Police after a furious gun battle late on Friday night.
Personnel of the Special Cell shot dead the criminals at Sonia Vihar in northeast Delhi, police said.

Police recovered locally-made and sophisticated arms, as also several live rounds of ammunition after the shootout.
