Five persons, including three minors, were injured as a group of Sikhs clashed with Dera Sacha Sauda followers in Ludhiana on Monday evening.

The incident took place in Kamla Nagar area in Model Town around 6 pm when a group of about 30 Sikhs, allegedly armed with sharp-edged weapons, went to the shop of a cement dealer Amrik Singh.

Police said Amrik Singh was asked to remove some photographs of Dera head Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh in his shop resulting in a confrontation.

According to sources Amrik Singh's wife Jaspal Kaur and three of their grandchildren -- Jyoti Bala (12), Happy (9) and Sagar (7) -- were also present there and sustained minor injuries.

As the group allegedly attacked them, Amrik Singh and his family members retaliated by pelting stones on the group.

As more Dera followers reached there after hearing the news, three Sikh youths were nabbed by them and handed over to the police.
