Five Kerala youths held for teasing school girls on train

Five youths from Kerala have been arrested for allegedly teasing a group of school girls on a train, police said.

Five youths from Kerala have been arrested for allegedly teasing a group of school girls on a train, police said today.

Students of a school in Thrissur were returning home after an excursion by the Chennai-Allapuzha Express train yesterday when the youths stated to be in an inebriated condition teased the girl students besides troubling other passengers.

When the train reached Jolarpet station near here, teacher Kanakaraj, who accompanied the students, lodged a complaint with the Railway Police.

Following this, the police arrested the youths, who also hailed from Thrissur.

Praveen (21), Abhiraj (24), Aneez (20), Johny (23) and Jitty (27) were today produce before a magistrate court in Tirupattur which remanded them to 15 days judicial custody.
