Five persons, including three kids, were allegedly murdered late on Friday night at Amer in the outskirts of Jaipur.
Unidentified persons allegedly killed the five persons using sharp weapons and then fled, Additional Superintendent of Police Mahendra Choudhary said on Saturday.
The victims, who belonged to two families, were identifed as Munna Mawali (42), Seema (25), Israfi (10), Kalu (13) and Sonu (12).
Sema's husband Munna Mian was not at home when the incident took place. He had gone to Rambagh Polo ground with his elephant where a polo match was going on, Choudhary said.
The two families of Munna Mawali and Munna Mian were sharing a house in Amer.
Seema's brother-in-law is absconding after the incident, police sources said, adding that old enmity may be the reason behind the killings.
