Five persons killed in separate road accidents

Five persons including two women were killed and four other sustained injuries in two separate road accidents in Karimnagar district of Andhra Pradesh, police said on Monday.

According to police, four persons--Muzaffar Jaffar Hussain (58), his wife Irfana (55), dauther Zabera Parveena (28) and a two-year-old girl Amrana were killed on the spot when the car they were travelling in dashed against a lorry near Bejjenki cross road last evening. The victims were going to Hyderabad from Karimnagar when the mishap occurred, they said.

The injured persons including the car driver Khaleel, Basheer (35), Rubia (30), and infant baby were admitted to Karimnagar district head quarters hospital.

In another incident, C Chandra Sekhar Reddy, a medico of Pratima Institute of Medical Sciences, Karimnagar, died in a road accident, when a sand-laden lorry hit his motor cycle in front of his college at Nagnoor village, nearly 10 km from here on Sunday.

The deceased was a native of Irladinde village in Mahaboob nagar district.
