A Jetlite flight from Guwahati to Dibrugarh was diverted back to the state capital as a dust storm prevented the pilot from making a landing at Mohanbari airport in Dibrugarh on Wednesday.

The Delhi-Guwahati-Dibrugarh flight S2391 was scheduled to land at Mohanbari at 1.30 pm. But,as a severe dust storm reduced visibility in the area , the plane had to be diverted back to Guwahati.

The Assam Revenue and Labour Minister Prithibi Majhi who was also in the plane told PTI that the other passengers in the flight did not panic and all were safe.
