To eradicate polio, 84 representatives from 12 countries along with members of the Rotary International administered polio drops to children of Silokhra village on Monday.

Nearly 84 delegates from the US, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Japan, Australia, Ireland, Poland, Switzerland, France and Canada along with chief medical officer Dr Praveen Garg took part in the campaign.

Nearly 700 children were administered polio drops.

“A majority of villagers still don't bother to visit polio eradication booths. This was an effort to reach out to them,” PD Pahuja, chairman of the pulse polio committee of zone 15, told Hindustan Times.
