Four from Nagpur drown in Wadgaon dam

Four persons from Nagpur today drowned in the Wadgaon dam near Nagpur, police said.

Four persons from Nagpur on Wednesday drowned in the Wadgaon dam near Nagpur, police said.

According to the police, the deceased in the age group of 35 to 50 years had gone Wadgaon, which is 15 kms on Nagpur Wardha road for fishing when they may have slipped into the dam.

While earlier police had said five persons drowned, they have now revised the toll to four.

The victims have been identified as Wasu Kumre, 57, Tariputra Harichand, 27, Jaisingh Mitthu, 40 and Raju Jinde, 35, from various parts of Nagpur.

Bodies have been handed over to the family members after post mortem.
