Four Indian Americans honoured in Houston

Four prominent Indian Americans were honoured for their entrepreneurship and community services by the Indo American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston.

Four prominent Indian Americans were honoured for their entrepreneurship and community services by the Indo American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston (IACCGH).

Yasmin Wadia was awarded the 'Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award', Vibhu Sharma got 'Young Entrepreneur of the Year' award, Atul Vir was honoured with the 'Entrepreneur of the Year' award, while the 'Community Service Award' was handed over to Bangar Reddy. The awards given at IACCGH 10th Annual Awards Banquet in Houston.

Wadia, founder Chairman of Laser Tissue Weld-ing is a surgeon. Her company specialises in sutureless laser assisted tissue welding for human clinical use. She is also the inventor of the bio material D'AlbuminTM.

Vibhu Sharma, a chemical engineer from Iowa State University, company Ingenious Inc since 2001 has shown a revenue growth of 5000 per cent.

Entrepreneur Atul Vir's startup is involved with importing and marketing energy efficient appliances. Equator has been three times in the list of Houston 100 Fastest Growing Companies.

While the community service awardee Bangar Reddy, has selflessly served the Indian community and the cultural Centre for years.
