Four persons were injured in a fire that broke out at Pydhonie area of south Mumbai on Friday night, fire brigade officials said.

The fire broke out at around 9:15 pm, at a godown behind Pydhonie police station and spread to nearby cutlery shops, they said adding there are small jewellery polishing units in the area which use chemicals and that may have helped the fire to spread.

The blaze was put out in an hour, officials said.

Ten fire engines, six water tankers and three ambulances were rushed to contain the fire, officials said.
