Four members of an NRI family, who had recently come from the US, were on Monday admitted to a hospital in Jalandhar with swine flu symptoms.
Civil Hospital authorities said the couple and their two minor children complained of fever and other complications, and were admitted to the hospital.
They were quarantined and their blood samples sent to National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD), New Delhi. The reports were expected by Tuesday, Dr S S Walia, its Civil Surgeon, told reporters in Jalandhar.
The family had landed in Jalandhar on July 8 to meet their relatives.
Earlier, nine persons, including a couple from Thailand and seven students, who came back from an educational trip to NASA in the US were tested positive for the disease. They were discharged after treatment.
