Four terrorist informers arrested in J&K

Four persons, who were allegedly working as informers for terrorists, were arrested in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Mirbaaz alias Baza, Jangbaz and Mohammad Babu Hussain—all residents of Pangai, were arrested by security forces from Thanamandi tehsil on Monday, officials said in Jammu on Tuesday.

Another informer Liyakat Ali was arrested from Darkura village of Dharamsal area of the border district, they said, adding that he was working as a guide for the terrorists.

They were later handed over to the police for further investigations, they said.

Meanwhile, Rashtriya Rifles seized arms and explosives during a search operation in Marote area of Surankote tehsil.

These included one UBGL, one anti-tank rifle grenade, three mortar bombs (60 mm), eight IEDs, two AK magazines and one sniper magazine, officials said.
